MEP QA/QC Engineer Data Centre Project, Cologne, Germany Our client is a leading engineering and construction main contractor delivering major new-build data centre projects across Northern and Central Europe. The company provides a full turnkey solution from initial design and groundworks through to structural build, MEP installation, commissioning and handover. With a turnover of €1.3bn and annual growth of 10–15%, they continue to expand their operations across the region. They are now seeking an experienced MEP QA/QC Engineer to support delivery of a €500m+ hyperscale data centre project in Cologne, Germany Key responsibilities include: The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering, or a strong MEP technical background. They will have at least 5 years of experience in MEP quality assurance and quality control roles, ideally on hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects, with strong knowledge of installation standards and commissioning processes. A competitive salary is offered along with bonus, allowances and an international assignment package suitable for candidates working on rotation or relocating to Cologne.
• Implementing and maintaining the project’s MEP quality management system and ensuring all works comply with relevant standards, specifications and procedures
• Conducting regular inspections of mechanical, electrical and CSA installations to verify quality, compliance and correct installation practices
• Reviewing subcontractor quality documentation, method statements, inspection test plans and material submissions
• Monitoring and reporting on quality performance, identifying issues and supporting the resolution of defects and non-conformances
• Ensuring MEP works achieve the required standards for advanced beneficial use and final handover
• Supporting commissioning teams by verifying that systems meet design intent and are ready for testing
• Coordinating with site management, engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are fully understood and adhered to
• Assisting with audits, preparing quality reports and maintaining accurate records in line with company and client expectations
• Highlighting risks, trends or recurring issues and contributing to continuous improvement of quality processes
